I have to admit, the appeal for me is the lack of grass. The restored trulli have lots of concrete patios.

Puglia is famous for its “trulli” or cone-shaped houses, but my favorite parts of the landscape are the white cities — densely packed stacks of whitewashed cottages, with ornate baroque ornamentation, carved in sandy stone.
